easyJet new cabin bag policy
Dear easyJet passenger, we’d like to let you know about some changes easyJet is making to their cabin bag policy to help improve punctuality and give certainty to customers on what they are allowed to bring on board. Please read carefully.
A breakdown of the changes
All customers can bring on board one small cabin bag (max. 45 x 36 x 20 cm), and this must fit under the seat in front of them. (a list of products which meet these demandes is available below)
Customers who have booked an Up front or Extra legroom seat can also bring on board a large cabin bag (max. 56 x 45 x 25 cm), which must fit in the overhead locker. These seats can be selected at the time of booking, or at any time before you check-in via Manage Bookings, or by contacting the easyJet Customer Service Team.
The above conditions also apply to passengers who are in the possession of an easyJet Standard Plus ticket, a Plus Card or a Flexi ticket. Further to your checked-in large cabin trolley (max. 56 x 45 x 25 cm) you may bring on-board a second (small) Hands Free bag (max 45 x 36 x 20cm) such as out new Cosmos NG Trolley, CabinZerom 36L. bag, a backpack or any other item which is smaller than 45 x 36 x 20cm. (see options mentioned below)
Warning ! From the 1, November 2021 the paid "Checked-in hands free" luggage option is no longer possible.
If you are not in passion of an easyJet Standard Plus ticket, a paid front row or emergency exit seat, a Plus Card or a Flexi ticket and are travelling with a large bags (over 45 x 36 x 20cm) your bag will have to be tagged and put into the hold and a Gate hold bag fees will apply. See the easyJet Baggage policy for full details.
Please be aware that if you bring a large cabin bag to the Departure Gate without the correct seat selection, easyJet will have to place this in the hold, and charges will apply (c.a. CHF 60.00). We therefore strongly encourage you to check in your regular luggage, or to update your booking by adding the correct seat. This can be done via Manage Bookings on the easyJet website or mobile app, or by contacting their Customer Service Team.
